Pool and Swimming Programs

Round Hill Pool has several features and benefits for its members and their guests.   We have something for everyone, and we're always open to new ideas to make your experience delightful. Recent years have set a standard of activities and professionalism we aim to achieve or exceed annually.

The pool is open Labor Day, September 3 from 11am -7pm and will be closed after that for the fall.

Guests are welcome, but they must accompany a member.  Nonmember/guest swim fee is $5 per person.  Full members may purchase a guest pass ticket in advance; this allows purchasing multiple "punches" at a reduced rate.

ARC Certified Guards and Instructors

The club proudly boasts some of the friendliest and most qualified lifeguards in the greater Kansas City metro area.  All are Red Cross certified and go so far as to obtain training and recertification each year, as techniques are always improving.  If you are hosting a party that you want to last past regular hours, lifeguards are available, for a fee.
Happiness is the Fourth of July Belllyflop Contest.

Swim Lessons

Several of the lifeguards are Red Cross certified swim instructors for members of all ages. Swim lessons will be held Mondays through Thursdays over four 2-week sessions, beginning in June and ending in August. Take one session or take several. Certification of Red Cross swim levels are given to those who pass each session.  Detailed descriptions of the levels can be found here.  One-on-one private lessons and group lessons are available for members, also.

In 2012, Lauren Erickson will return as our swim instructor.  Check our Forms/Contacts page for more information, including dates and registration instructions.

Swim Team

Finally, our no-compete Swim Team has been a huge hit since its inception a few years ago.  Being that Round Hill pool is not a straight 25-meter competition pool, we feel children should still have the ability to experience a team atmosphere with training and practices as a competitive team does.  The main focus is on stroke refinement and improving technique.  The season is capped off with a fun and exciting intra-squad swim meet, to give the team a real feel for how thrilling competition in this sport can be.

You may find the swim team registration form on our Forms/Contacts page in late spring.

If you have questions, contact our Vice President and Pool Chair Trudy Graves at 913.642.8791 or tttjorandg@aol.com.  She'll be happy to help.
